MISSIONS

마태복음 28장19-20절의 말씀을 따라 Faithful 교회는 뉴욕, 뉴저지는 물론 전세계를 향한 선교를 사모하고 있습니다. 하나님의 잃어버린 영혼을 향한 마음은 먼저 은혜를 체험한 우리에게도 사모해야 할 우선순위임을 기억하며 또한 우리가 복음을 부끄러워하지 않고 담대하게 외칠 때 우리 각개인들도 하나님의 백성으로 자신감있게 살아갈 수 있게 하실 것입니다. 

Medical Missions: 남침례교단을 중심으로 하는 혼두라스와 니카라구아 의료선교에 참석을 하고 있습니다. 이 선교는 메디컬선교팀들과 함께 여름에 가게되는 단기선교로, 수 백명의 사람들을 의료로 돕고, door-to-door 복음전도를 통해 하나님의 말씀을 전하는 기쁨을, Sunday school을 통하여 어린아이들에게 예수님의 복음을 전하는 행복을 느끼게 하십니다.

NYC Praise Missions: 여름에 하는 또 다른 선교는 뉴욕 찬양 선교입니다. 기도와 찬양을 통해 이 뉴욕에 아니 이 세상에 진정 하나님만이 살아계신 하나님이심을 선포하는 기회를 갖고 있습니다. 찬양을 듣는 자들에게 마음과 눈이 열려 하나님을 경험케되기를 기도했었는데 지금은 성도들 안에 우리 아버지의 마음이 무엇인지를 깨닫는 소중한 기회가 되고 있습니다.

Life: 미션은 우리의 마음에서 부터 시작이 됩니다. 우리의 마음이 하나님의 마음과 일치하게 될 때 우리의 마음을 준비시키셔서 우리가 어디에 있던지 그 곳이 우리의 미션 필드가 되게 하실 것 입니다. 아직은 육신적으로 가보지를 못했지만 우리안에 핍박받고 있는 영혼들을 품게 하셔서 Open Door 통해 알게된 수많은 영혼들을 위해 기도를 하게 하신 것 또한 이 미션의 연장선에 있음을 믿습니다. 여러분들도 동참하시지 않겠습니까? 살아계신 하나님을 같이 만납시다.

In obedience to Matthew 28:19-20, Faithful Korean Baptist Church desires to follow God's calling for missions to his people in NY, NJ, and the entire world. As people who have experienced God's grace, we are reminded of God's priority and heart for his lost children, and how we are called to stand firmly in our faith. As we boldly cry out the good news of Jesus Christ, we pray that we, too, can live confidently as God's precious people. 

Medical Missions: annual short term summer mission trips to Honduras and Nicaragua. While providing medical, dental, pharmacy, and optometry services to the people, we experience the joy of sharing the gospel through door-to-door evangelism and Sunday school for the children. 

NYC Praise Missions: an opportunity to proclaim God as the one true living God through prayer and praise. While we had initially prayed for God to open the hearts of those who would hear the praise, God has changed our prayer so that we ourselves—individually and as a church—can first understand our Heavenly Father’s heart and restore our hearts of worship. 

Life: mission begins with our hearts. When our hearts are connected with God’s as one, God opens our eyes to show our current location—wherever we may be—as the mission field. As God continues to show us His heart, He also moves us to be faithful in praying for our brothers and sisters under persecution. Won’t you join us? Let us meet and experience our living God together.
